Herzberg's Motivation Hygiene Theory

Herzberg's Motivation Hygiene Theory

frederik Herzberg was an American psychologist who became one of the most influential names in business management he was interested in the correlation between employee attitudes and workplace motivation and he's most famous for introducing his motivator hygiene theory according to this theory people are influenced by two sets of factors these factors are the motivators and the hygiene factors motivators influence employees to work harder it includes things like how interesting the work is how much responsibility they have and how many opportunities they are afforded hygiene factors are the factors that come with the job rather than the job itself these factors can D motivate employees if they're not present but would not actually motivate employees to work harder if they are present in summer employees can be influenced to work harder by interesting work but employees can become demotivated if they work under poor working conditions with low pay that's herzberg's motivational hygiene theory in a minute
