the ketogenic diet is a high fat moderate protein low carb diet the diet forces the body to use fast for energy instead of making glucose from carbohydrates people can lose a lot of weight in a short period of time when first starting the ketogenic diet however there is no good long-term success because people gain the weight back I do not recommend the ketogenic diet it's not sustainable and it can be hard on the heart plus you're eliminating a lot of good carbs out of your diet which provide fiber vitamins and minerals
